You hear all this talk about stricter gun laws. What is it that lawmakers do not get? Most criminals will get a gun in their hands faster than law abiding citizens going thru instant check. Guns do not kill but people do. I am so glad the law changed where you are not required to retreat but instead stand your grounds......bang bang,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just sayin
I retired earlier this year because my big sister was diagnosed with the ending stages of pancreatic and lung cancer. After I retired she moved in so I could be her care giver. Every day I see her smile and participate in family events even when I know she is not feeling the best. I asked her about a bucket list and she said she would like to go on a cruise. I took out money from my retirement to make this trip possible for her. I paid for 5 people to make this trip, my two daughters 13 and 16 yoa and Linda's (my sister) granddaughter 13 yoa who Linda has raised since birth. A week away from this trip and Linda is so excited. I enjoy seeing her smile and grin everyday as we discuss the trip. We are cruising to the Bahamas. Linda never left the country.
Its amazing how being terminally ill she can find a reason to be happy everyday. She is not having pitty parties and walking around saying why me. She is enjoying each day she wakes up.
How can a person who has every reason to be sad is able to find a reason to rejoice everyday.
I think God everyday for having opportunities daily to build latest memories. I am glad I can be here for her but at the same time she is there for me. Her smile everyday lifts my spirit when I am feeling low and show me if this woman who is terminally ill can make the best of each day, there is no reason for me not to stay up beat.
I continue to pray for a miracle but if God would want her to be an angel, I want to think him for allowing me to have know her and to be able to call her my sister.
I have received some donations for the trip and I think everyone that help contribute to making this trip happen. August 5th is the day.........
